My trip to Paris, London, Cambridge and Norwich
For this year's overseas trip, my family and I visited Paris, London, Cambridge and Norwich. We flew to London on Tuesday and took a train to Paris. We reached Paris on Wednesday. We visited the Louvre Museum(though we did not go inside). The Louvre Pyramid was a majestic glass structure. It stands in the middle of the Louvre Museum. We then visited the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais. The two buildings were very big and they were opposite each other. Our next stop was somewhere near the Eiffel Tower. From that spot we took beautiful pictures of the Eiffel Tower. We got on a bus and took closer pictures of the lovely monument. We then visited Notre-Dame Cathedral. The cathedral was an authentic sight. It loomed over us and the place looked very holy. It even had a garden. We took a few pictures before having lunch. We continued our journey to Pantheon, a majestic looking building. Our next destination was the Arc de Triomphe(before the riot happened). There were many historical events at that site. I wonder why the Parisians vandalised it.

Anyways, our next stop was London so we took a train there. We then went on a bus tour and went around London. We saw London’s Eye, Big Ben(under renovation), London Bridge, a castle, Madam Tussauds, Buckingham Palace and some arches. We even had a chance to go to a Harry Potter shop called Platform 9 3/4 at King Cross Station. We even had a walk at Green Park and also Hyde Park.

We then went to Cambridge, Home of the famous universities(Yeah I made that name up). We walked around and visited many churches and cathedrals. Inside the churches and cathedrals were wonderful and authentic architecture. The cathedrals were so majestic that even we were awestruck. We actually planned to go to the universities but they were closed for some interview I guess. We visited another Harry Potter shop which sells Butterbeer, so we bought one.

On Tuesday, we visited Norwich. Wait, we visited Thetford first. In Thetford, we visited my cousin’s friend’s mother’s house. She welcomed us warmly. She told many stories and even served us lunch. Okay, this is the Norwich part(the best). There were also many churches and a cathedral there which were built a long time ago(in a galaxy far far away). The cathedral (Norwich Cathedral), was a big place that it looked like His house. The ceilings were very beautiful and there was also a mini museum that displayed old utensils and stuff which served the people in the church long, long ago. I liked the fish and chips in a restaurant called Grosvenor Fish Bar(the Grosvenor is pronounced as grow-ver-ner). There was an antique shop which was formerly a church that sold, you know, antiques and also collectables. We visited an old Norman castle and bought back a few souvenirs. After that, we visited a plantation garden after visiting a church. On the next day, we took a plane home. Although I was reluctant to go back, I was grateful to have the chance to go there.
