🕷My Camp at Kluang
My Camp at Kluang
During the Deepavali school holidays, my church organised a camp at Kluang. I reached the LRT station in Kinrara at 7 in the morning before taking the train to TBS. Then, the participants of the camp and I took a bus to the UK Farm, Kluang. We were divided into four groups before we had a tour around the farm.
We got the chance to feed the goats and kids over there and also watched how the workers in the farm milked the goats. I even bought two bottles of goat milk and a goat milk ice cream. We then fed some ducks and chicken somewhere nearby before heading off to the ostrich, deer and rabbit farm.
Afterwards, we saw an orang asli performance at the aboriginal village. We then had a rest at the Tropical Arcade and saw some plants at the hydroponic farm nearby. After all of that, we dropped our luggage at our dormitories and rested a while longer. For dinner, we had satay and some vegetables and meat at the UK Farm’s bar. As soon as we finished our dinner, we started making Kong Ming lanterns and flew them.
On the next day, my friends and I went “sheeping” right after our breakfast. We had to catch at least a sheep out of three but sadly, we didn’t even catch one. Next, we visited the farm’s mini zoo and saw many kinds of animals, ranging from squirrels to eagles. After a shower, we all read the Bible and talked about why we should be grateful towards God before having lunch. We packed our stuff and headed off to another place in Kluang afterwards. I must admit that UK Farm is a decent place indeed.
Anyways, we headed of to a banana plantation where we saw how bananas were planted. Then, we went to a papaya plantation and saw a chicken coop there too (Don’t ask). We arrived soon and put our luggage at the new home stay. We initially planned to hike up a nearby hill but since it rained, the plan was cancelled. So, we rested at the home stay while my friends played their video games and ate snacks. At night, we had dinner and sang a few songs. One of our church’s teacher also taught us more about God.
