🕷Chinese New Year at Singapore

                             Chinese New Year at Singapore

During this year’s Chinese New Year, my family and I celebrated Chinese New Year with our relatives. Early in the morning, we left for the airport and reached there around noon. We reached our relative’s flat and put all our luggage there before resting. After settling down, we joined them for lunch at a restaurant which specialises in Peking Duck where we had Yee Sang  and Peking Duck too (duh). It was a heartful meal indeed. Afterwards, my parents, my grandfather and my cousin went shopping at Uniqlo. After buying some clothes there, my family and I went to Marina Bay Sands. We initially planned to go up to the observation deck, but the staff said we had to wait for 12 hours, so we decided to visit it on the next day. So, we walked around the famous Singapore Art Science Museum and took several pictures nearby.

At night, we went to a night market and a nearby Chinese New Year themed bazaar. There were a lot of decorations at the bazaar and even a section which explained the origin of the red money packets. We at dinner at some food stalls nearby and went back to my relatives’ flat afterwards.

On the next morning, my uncle and aunt brought us to the Jewel where we walked Avon the glass bridge near the famous indoor waterfall. We then had lunch at a Chinese restaurant where I finally held my chopsticks right for the first time. Soon, we got our tickets and went up  Marina Bay Sands. Up there, I saw a magnificent view of Singapore and it’s many tourist attractions; Singapore Art Science Museum, Gardens by the Bay, Merlion and many more. Shortly after, we visited the home of another relative of mine. They were also celebrating Chinese New Year. I received plenty of red money packets there too.

As for dinner, we just ate at the flat. On the last morning, my family and I had breakfast at a famous restaurant (although I forgot it’s name, but don’t judge). The food there was quite delicious though. I had fried rice although the restaurant specialises in noodle (once again, don’t judge). We walked along a river and took quite a lot of pictures since the scenery there was unique and it reminded me of some Italian area (sounds weird but yeah). In the evening, we prepared to leave Singapore and walked around Changi Airport while waiting for our flight. My mother and I had some coffee at a cafe a few minutes before our departure. Although,p it was a short trip, I kinda enjoyed it.
